I was also fascinated by his ability to communicate with his dragon, which will be explained as the story progresses. I loved watching Jae’s struggle to prove he was on the same level on his peers. He’s short, malnourished, and weak, but he’s got more than enough heart and compassion to overcome it. She has this way of drawing you in and rooting for the underdog. Which is why I’m starting with this book.įledgling by Nicole Conway is one of my all-time favorite dragonriding books ever, the first in The Dragonrider Chronicles. I myself occasionally need a break from the intense emotional turmoil characters experience in romances and instead want to dive into something fantastic and unbelievable. Not everybody wants to read a romance every day. I figured it’s about time I switched things up.
